This project focuses on creating three-dimensional collages by recycling old damaged corpuses into a new whole. The resulting jigsaw puzzle encapsulates the essence of various decades, or even centuries, and diverse styles.
Throughout his work, Maxim Velčovský often explores the principles of DIY and its impact on art and design. The multilayered nature of these objects sparks a wide range of associations, ranging from dissecting ecclesiastical artifacts in the 1950s to modern computer photomontages. Each of us takes from the life of Christ something of their own.
