The idea behind the series of three vases was to capture the imprints of snow in the course of several years (2010 – 12). The “lost snow” technique involves a manually created snow prototype cast in plaster-of-Paris.
The project is accompanied by an effort at a local expression when a product made of an ordinary material is made different by a unique solution in the context of a particular time and place.
Among other things, it also reflects the absurd moment of the uprooting of a brand from its traditional place of production, a phenomenon brought about by globalization. Another kind of experiment with form and technology. A natural principle when the material literally falls from the sky blends with a personal emotional experience until the moment of the imprints of human hands. It works with an intuitive amorphous pre/shape in a noble material that is able to capture even the structure of snow.
