The Frozen collection was inspired by a fascination with the transformation of water into ice and the unique shapes that emerge during this process. Just as in nature, every object is an original — the result of a specific moment and conditions of its creation.
The production process uses glass in a way that is quite unusual in traditional glassmaking. Instead of being blown into a precise mold, the molten glass is poured freely over the surface of a metal form. Wrinkles, bubbles and other irregularities emerging from this process are not regarded as flaws, but become a natural part of the final shape.
What is normally considered a defect in conventional production becomes an intentional part of the design. Each object is a unique record of its own making. Although the collection is produced as a series, the natural behaviour of the material makes it impossible to create two identical pieces.
The Frozen collection includes pendants, bowls and champagne coolers.
